da pinup bet: Andre Villas-Boas secured his first point as Chelsea boss in a hard fought draw at the Britannia Stadium.
da apostebet: It was a good old fashioned English contest with both sides fully committed in the tackle; however chances were few and far between.
Chelsea probably edged the game on chances and Fernando Torres put in a fantastic performance that would have gone some way to silencing his critics within the media and a goal was the only thing missing from his man of the match performance.
Stoke were solid throughout with Jonathan Woodgate putting in an impressive debut and a promising looking partnership with Huth appears to be born. Asmir Begovic also put a fabulous display in and pulled off what is an early contender for save of the season in the second half.
The one sour note on the occasion was the injury to Matt Etherington and Tony Pulis will be hoping it doesn’t look as serious as first feared.
A good point for both teams and one that I am sure both Pulis and Villas-Boas would have taken before the game gladly.
