da betcris:
da esoccer bet: Something is not right at West Ham.After a seventh-place finish last year, Hammers fans were hoping to push on and have an even more successful 2016/17 season, possibly even breaking into the top six.Even a Europa League qualifying defeat over two legs to Romanian side Astra Giurgiu didn’t dampen spirits too much, with a silver lining that the claret and blue side would now be able to take advantage of an eased fixture list.Unfortunately, this has not proven to be the case, with Slaven Bilic’s side currently 18th in the league following three consecutive defeats to Manchester City, Watford and West Brom. The Hammers have been unlucky to lose key players like Aaron Cresswell and Andy Carroll to injury, as well as record signing Andre Ayew. The problem is, their replacements haven’t been up to scratch.Arthur Masuaku and Simone Zaza have come in for criticism and with a world-famous academy behind them, many are wondering why Bilic didn’t promote from within rather than panic buy. With that in mind, here are five West Ham youngsters who deserve a shot in the first team…
REECE OXFORD
The man most likely to break into the side is Reece Oxford.
The 17-year-old has already played in seven league games for the Hammers and impressed Slaven Bilic on his first league start against Arsenal.
West Ham’s youngest player and the second youngest in Premier League history, Oxford has composure that belies his years and has been touted as the next Rio Ferdinand.
He has been attracting a lot of interest from top clubs in recent times, particularly Manchester United. Perhaps the promise of first-team football would allow the Hammers to keep the giants at bay in more ways than one.
ASHLEY FLETCHER
From one man linked with leaving West Ham for Man United to one who moved the other way, Ashley Fletcher could be another youngster set for league action.
With injuries to Andy Carroll and a sluggish start from Simone Zaza, the 20-year-old will be battling with Argentine Jonathan Callieri to lead the Hammers line.
Fletcher has the advantage of being used to English league football after scoring five times in 21 games for Barnsley in League One, while he boasts an impressive two goals in three appearances for England’s U20s.
TONI MARTINEZ
If West Ham want a man who knows where the goal is, they can do a lot worse than Toni Martinez.
The 19-year-old, who was signed from Valencia for £2.4million this summer, has been in electric form for West Ham’s development squad.
The Spaniard has scored seven goals in six games in the Premier League 2 Division Two against the likes of Stoke and Newcastle’s second string sides.
While the Premier League would no doubt be a big step up, Martinez could find himself in line for a debut should he keep his form up.
DECLAN RICE
Having won the Dylan Tombides award for best academy player, it is only fair to give Declan Rice a mention.
Like Reece Oxford, who won the award the year previously, Rice is also a talented player in the West Ham ranks and signed a new contract with the club at the end of last year.
He managed three goals in 12 games from midfielder for the U18s before turning out for the development squad twice.
The Republic of Ireland U17 international will be hoping to continue to impress and earn a place in the Hammers squad.
GRADY DIANGANA
Another man who has impressed enough to earn a new contract, Diangana turned professional in May.
After a series of impressive performances for both the U18s and development sides, the 18-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Hammers.
Explosive and direct, Diangana has been one of the key men supplying ammunition for the likes of Fletcher and Martinez in the Premier League 2.
While he has Payet, Antonio and others ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment, the youngster will be hoping to make an impact in cup games or from the bench.
