da bet nacional: Aaron Ramsey has jumped to the defence of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, and supporters are not happy about it.
da apostaganha: A large number of fans are keen to see the back of the French boss when the season comes to an end.
Wenger has had 20 years at the helm of the North London outfit, winning three Premier League titles and six FA Cups, but plenty of fans feel disgruntled by the fact that the team have not lifted the English crown since 2004.
Their league drought looks set to extend to 13 years come May as they currently reside fourth in the table, 13 points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
Wenger has taken the brunt of the criticism, with some fans taking banners calling for the manager to step down during matches.
Ramsey, though, believes that fans are wrong to target the coach, instead blaming players for not doing their jobs properly.
The Mirror quotes the Welsh midfielder as saying:
“He’s been a great servant to Arsenal and great manager for me and the players. We have let him down at times. It is unfair some of the things that have been said. People are entitled to their opinion but he has been great for me personally.”
Plenty of fans do not agree with Ramsey’s sentiments, though…
