da pinnacle: According to reports in the Daily Mail, Sheffield United want to sign Blackburn Rovers talisman Bradley Dack.
The Blades are on the hunt for a new attacking midfielder this summer after previously being linked with Jota and Kieran Dowell.
Dack may well be a fantastic player on the pitch, and his 15 goals for Blackburn this season show he is more than capable of playing at the top level, but his antics off the pitch should ring alarm bells in Chris Wilder’s head.
Wilder’s team building
The Blades boss has always signed players who he feels would fit into the dynamics of his squad, but Dack wouldn’t be that.
The 51-year-old has placed great importance on teamwork and togetherness throughout his team, but the Blackburn man could very easily disrupt that.
Dack’s history
The 25-year-old’s off the field antics are often more publicised than his performances on the pitch.
With that being said, the media circus that seems to follow Dack around surely won’t be a good thing for Wilder and his team.
His commitment to football is questionable as he has been known to go out clubbing after matches, and his history of assaulting a police officer won’t be great for the morale of the team either.

Dack can get on with all of that while at Blackburn because he has shown that he is by far their best player, having finished last season as their top scorer and assister, but he won’t have the luxury at Bramall Lane, and his actions are likely to be scrutinised a lot more by Wilder and his new teammates.
The risks that he brings vastly outweigh the positives that he would bring with his performances on the pitch. Therefore, the Blades should avoid this signing.
